About Me

I believe in an holistic approach to health, that our mental, emotional and physical states are all connected. I chose to train in the Person Centred Approach to counselling because it holds at its core the importance of the relationship between the counsellor and the client.

I hold a Higher Professional Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and receive regular clinical supervision to ensure that I am providing the best therapeutic support for my clients.

I have experience of working with adults with a broad range of issues and mental health problems. I have also worked with primary school aged children in an educational setting, using Person-Centred Play Therapy. As well as private practice I currently work for a community based counselling project in Greenwich, the Deborah Ubee Trust.

I also teach counselling skills to diploma level students, at a local college.

Some of the isues I can work with include:

  • Abuse
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Domestic Violence
  • Loss and Bereavement
  • Relationship or work difficulties
  • Self-esteem

I have full Professional and Public Liability Insurance and I hold a current Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
